In 1982, Naresh Sharma chose the site at 10023 Florida Boulevard as the future home of this transmission repair facility. The shop opened its doors for business in July 1983 as Cottman Transmission. In February 1994, affiliation with the original franchise was severed and the name was changed to CAPS Transmission. With a new name came the challenge of establishing a reputation and trust in the community. This effort started with our first customer and has been continued to this day "one customer at a time". CAPS Transmission is the premiere transmission repair facility in Baton Rouge with a longstanding reputation for honesty, courteous service and standing behind the work performed.
